The favourable climate and varied geography of Sussex, NB, create an endless variety of recreational possibilities. From hiking and fishing, to hunting, skiing, curling and golfing; we have it all!

The clear lakes and streams of Kings County are well-known for excellent recreational fishing. Salmon and trout are the most predominant species, but bass and other species are common. An extensive river system provides unlimited potential for boating. Canoeists and kayakers have a wide variety of lakes, marshes and white water rivers to choose from and larger boats can cruise the famous St. John River.

We have many special events, like the annual Atlantic Balloon Fiesta, the Kings County Covered Bridge Festival which take place at various times throughout the year.
